Head Energy ostaa Mitta AS:n - Head Energy acquires Mitta AS

Mitta AS:n kehittämä lumen monitorointiin liittyvä teknologia ja IP-oikeudet säilyvät edelleen Mitta konsernilla, kun taas Mitta AS:n geotekniikkaan, ympäristögeologiaan ja kairaukseen liittyvä ydinliiketoiminta siirtyy Head Energylle.

Kaikki Mitta AS:n ydinliiketoimintaan liittyvät työntekijät jatkavat Head Energy Geossa. Mitta AS:n operatiivisesta johtajasta Bjarte Hellevangista tulee yhtiön toimitusjohtaja ja osaomistaja. Bjarte on geologian/geofysiikan tohtori ja hänellä on 20 vuoden kokemus geologina, geoteknisenä insinöörinä, johtajana ja yrittäjänä. Monica Vaksdal Mitta AS:n toimitusjohtajana on auttanut yhtiötä kasvamaan siihen pisteeseen, joka herätti Head Energyn kiinnostuksen.

Siri Gloppen, joka on johtanut Head Energyn ponnisteluja geotekniikan alalla, liittyy Head Energy Geon osaavaan tiimiin. Head Energy Geon palveluksessa on 5. maaliskuuta 2024 alkaen kairaustiimit mukaan lukien yhteensä 10 työntekijää, sekä toimipisteet Bergenissä, Stavangerissa, Oslossa, Trondheimissa ja Luulajassa. Maaperätutkimuksissa Head Energy Geo kattaa koko Norjan ja pyrkii olemaan markkinoiden nopein ja joustavin toimija. Yhtiö operoi yksinomaan hybridilaitteita ja voi tehdä maaperätutkimuksia huomattavasti pienemmällä hiilijalanjäljellä kuin perinteisillä kairoilla. Yhtiö suunnittelee lisää rekrytointeja vuonna 2024.

Mitta Group ja Head Energy Geo kehittävät yhteistyötään Norjassa osana kauppaa – yhteistyö perustuu Mitta Groupin teknologiaan ja osaamiseen etenkin monitoroinnissa ja Head Energyn henkilöstöön geotekniikassa.

Head Energy on ollut innokas laajentamaan fokustaan geotieteisiin ja ympäristötieteisiin, ja Siri Gloppen Head Energystä on tehnyt yhteistyötä Bjarte Hellevangin ja hänen tiiminsä kanssa Mitta AS:ssa useissa projekteissa. Head Energy AS has acquired 100 percent of the shares in Mitta AS from Finnish Mitta Group Oy and intends to develop a competent and proactive national player in the field of geosciences. Mitta AS has been renamed Head Energy Geo AS.

Mitta Group Oy retains the technology and IP-rights related to snow monitoring developed by Mitta AS, while the core business of Mitta AS, related to geotechnics, environmental geology, and ground drilling, is acquired by Head Energy.

All employees engaged with the core business of Mitta AS will continue in Head Energy Geo. Operations manager at Mitta AS, Bjarte Hellevang, becomes Managing Director and co-owner of the company. Bjarte holds a PhD in Geology/Geophysics and has 20 years of experience as a geologist, geotechnical engineer, leader, and entrepreneur. Monica Vaksdal has as CEO of Mitta AS helped to grow the company into a stage that raised the interest of Head Energy.

Siri Gloppen, who has fronted Head Energy’s efforts within geotechnics, joins the skilled team in Head Energy Geo. Head Energy Geo will have a total of 10 employees as per March 5, 2024, including drilling teams, with offices and presence in Bergen, Stavanger, Oslo, Trondheim, and Luleå. In ground investigations, Head Energy Geo will cover all of Norway and aims to become the fastest and most flexible player in the market. The company exclusively operates hybrid rigs and can conduct ground investigations with significantly lower carbon footprint than with traditional rigs. The company plans further recruitments in 2024.

Mitta Group and Head Energy Geo will form a collaboration in Norway as part of the transaction – the collaboration is based on technology and knowledge especially in the field of monitoring from Mitta Group  and Head Energy’s personnel in geotechnics.
