Mitta Strengthens its Multi-Talented Portfolio in Monitoring and Smart Technology

Mitta Oy has signed a sales agreement on the 22^nd of June 2023 for the purchase of the entire stock of Wiiste Oy, which focuses on measurement systems for the construction industry.

Founded in 2012, Wiiste Oy is the market leader in Finland and an international pioneer in wireless moisture monitoring of structures. Thanks to the Wiiste Wireless system, customers can monitor condition measurements in construction projects and moisture monitoring of concrete and wood with IoT sensors in real time and independently. Wiiste’s goal is to help customers efficiently build high-quality buildings that are healthy for their users.

“With data-driven solutions, we always produce the best added value for our customers, which is why various real-time monitoring systems fit very well into Mitta’s existing range of services,” says Aki Puska, CEO of Mitta Group.

“With the acquisition, we will once again gain excellent expertise in our team and be able to offer even more comprehensive monitoring solutions to meet the growing needs of our customers.”

Wiiste, which employs 10 people, has strong R&D expertise and all products are manufactured in Finland.

As a result of the acquisition, Wiiste Oy’s key personnel will become shareholders in Mitta Group and continue in their previous positions.
