Jukka Nieminen elected to the Board of Directors of Mitta Group
At the General Meeting held on 29 April 2026, Mitta Group Oy elected Jukka Nieminen as a new member of the company’s Board of Directors. He is independent of both the company and its major shareholders.
Jukka Nieminen, 57, holds a Master of Science (Engineering) degree in Industrial Management and has extensive experience in the technology industry and international project-based business. He has worked in nearly 50 countries and held positions in eight companies within the machinery and equipment industry, building services and energy technology. Nieminen has served as CEO on five occasions and has carried profit and people management responsibility for almost 30 years.
Most recently, Jukka Nieminen served as CEO of Fimpec Group, an engineering company focused on the industrial and energy sectors. Fimpec provided consulting, project management, engineering, construction management and installation management services in six countries. Fimpec was acquired by Sweco Finland Oy in December 2025. The company had annual revenue of approximately EUR 50 million and employed around 400 experts. Project-based business in its various forms, as well as building international growth, are areas in which Nieminen has particularly strong and well-established expertise.

Jukka Nieminen has studied both in Finland and Sweden and has worked in the Swedish market through several companies. According to him, Mitta Group’s financial performance has begun to develop very positively thanks to the joint efforts of the company’s personnel, management and Board of Directors.

In addition to Chair of the Board Timo Hyvönen, the Board of Directors of Mitta Group includes Ville Kulmala, Sami Ylitervo and Ilkka Starck. Mats Åkerblom serves as a deputy member of the Board.
– Jukka brings valuable expertise to our Board in developing consulting business processes and leading large-scale projects. I believe he will be a significant asset as Mitta takes its next steps in growth, Hyvönen says.
