Olli Laaksonen appointed Director of Surveying in Finland
Olli Laaksonen has been appointed Director of Surveying at Mitta, effective June 1, 2025. He will lead the company’s largest business division in Finland.

Olli Laaksonen joined Mitta in 2020 and has held various roles within the organization. Most recently, he served as Service Manager for surveying services in Southern Finland. With a deep understanding of both Mitta’s operations and the needs of the surveying industry’s client base, he is well-positioned for the new role.
This leadership transition follows the departure of Surveying Director Janne Harju, who will be moving on to new opportunities.
“We’re pleased to appoint a new leader from within our own ranks. Olli brings strong industry expertise and knows our personnel and clients well. His predecessor Janne has done excellent work in developing the division, and we were happy to have plenty of time to ensure a smooth handover,” says Sami Kangasharju, CEO of Mitta.
Surveying is Mitta’s largest business area, employing approximately 120 professionals across Finland. Services are provided nationwide and include terrain modeling, construction and infrastructure surveying, UAV and hydrographic surveys, and laser scanning. The client base includes public sector organizations, municipalities, construction and industrial companies, and design firms.
“One of my key priorities in this new role is to continue Janne’s valuable work in developing the skills and expertise of our team. At the same time, I look forward to applying my technical background to support Mitta’s technological advancement and long-term competitiveness,” Laaksonen says as he begins his new position.
