Taive has previously held senior positions at companies such as Orion and Borealis, where she was responsible for laboratory development, quality control, and oversight.

In her new role, she will take overall responsibility for leading Mitta’s laboratory operations across Finland. Her key responsibilities will include strengthening customer relationships, streamlining internal processes, enhancing quality practices and supporting employee competence and professional growth.

“Marjo has a clear vision for the development of laboratory operations and the ability to combine technical expertise with a strong business mindset. Her experience will be a valuable asset in helping Mitta deliver even more efficient and high-quality services to our clients,” says Sami Kangasharju, CEO of Mitta.

Laboratory services represent one of Mitta’s five core business areas, employing approximately 70 experts across ten locations in Finland. The division specializes in construction and environmental investigations, with key areas of expertise including stone materials, concrete, asphalt, industrial recycled materials, and contaminated soil. The Finnish laboratory operations also maintain close collaboration with Mitta’s units in Sweden.

“I am a people-oriented leader who isn’t afraid of challenges. I look forward to this new role and to working with the team at Mitta. My extensive experience in the industry provides a strong foundation for contributing to the future development of the laboratory sector,” says Taive.
